Patient should limit the use of alcohol while taking Mirtazapine. Caution is advised when using Remeron in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the drug. Remeron should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. The use of Mirtazapine is contraindicated in last 3 months of pregnancy as it may cause feeding or breathing difficulties, seizures, muscle stiffness, jitteriness, or constant crying in new born babies.
